MoonMaid Botanicals was born in 1995 when Cynthia and the physician she worked for
discovered a need for “natural” alternatives to hormone replacement therapy for women
experiencing menopause, PMS and infertility. Fortunate to live in Northern California,
the hub of progesterone research, Cynthia was able to access a vast network of fine
practitioners, physicians and herbalists, most notably Dr. John Lee, in the discovery
of wild yam as an alternative to prescription drugs for an increasing population
of women experiencing menopause.
It is her commitment and passion to remind women
that “our periods, birth or menopause are not a disease to be dealt with. They are
a life transition that may have to be “managed” due to our often toxic environment.
In addition to her creations to assist menopause, you will fine other fine herbal
products for you and your family.
Cynthia Johnston is a gifted herbalist who has worked with women in menopause since
1995. She began studying herbs as a teenager as an alternative to drugs for asthma. Then,
as a massage therapist in the 80’s, she began making medicinal oils to use on her
massage clients. While working for a physician in Northern California, she designed
the products that are now MoonMaid Botanicals. This has led to a 15 year career
working with women with a variety of hormonal issues like menopause, infertility,
and PMS.
All MoonMaid Botanicals products are free of chemical preservatives, propylparabens
or synthetics of any kind. All herbs are either grown by MoonMaid or ordered from
a reputable wild crafter.
